Well that “didn’t last long last” didn’t last long

Ah, I see abnormal service has resumed at everybody’s favourite right-wing blog. Once again, the shutters have come down, the wagons are corralled, and the senile residents peer out from behind their metaphorical curtains and the liberal world passing them by.

Ah well, at least this will allow the inhabitants of the assylum the opportunity to feed of each other’s insanity (not to mention subtle prodding by parodists – or is that trolls? – such as Terry Koeckritz), without the annoyance of having good-faith editors to bully.

Not that CP has had many of those in the past 2 years. And now, the slow slide into obscurity begins afresh.

About PsyGremlin

PsyGremlin is a former Conservapedia sysop (although the position was earned nefariously), stand up comedian, DJ, and is currently a self-employed financial adviser, who impersonates a responsible adult at least 5 days a week. However, highlighting and poking fun at the crazies out there remains his first love. Well besides pork crackling. And custard. And cricket.

Just reading that restricted account creation puts a smile on my face.

On an unrelated note, the keywords “cpmonitor wordpress” finally show on google! Hooray!

    • cpmonitor says:

Next will be flagged revisions and CP will be essentially closed for good.
yay – good news on the Google front. Finally, fame! Fortune! Groupies backstage!

  2. Depressionman says:

You are an idiot and your blog is garbage.

    • cpmonitor says:

As Oscar Wilde once said, “The only worse than being spoken about, is not being spoken about.”
The ironic thing is, is that you must have read the blog, in order to know it’s garbage, so thank you for your patronage.

Reply to “Depressionman”: you are the idiot and your mind is garbage. Even if you don’t care for what CPMonitor has to say, you should admit that his writing is excellent and well thought out, unlike the edits by CP Sysops – and by the way is anyone else insulted that CP’s rule is: “You cannot change the edits a CP Sysop has made” – what a crock. First, how are you supposed to know which edits a Sysop has made without extensive research into the “history” of an article, and then what if the edit is incorrect, non-factual, or you want to correct a spelling, etc., – you have to actually ask permission from the sysop – it’s just too burdensome. Any wonder why no one edits at CP any longer? Who want to willingly subject themselves to the power trips of the CP Sysops? No one I know, and certainly not me. Keep up these good postings CPMonitor.

Lol, thanks for that SK – much appreciated. Don’t worry too much about DM – he wanders by occasionally – a bit like those guys you see staggering along next to the highway, swearing at the traffic.

On to the point you raised – and it is a good one. It’s a strange situation on CP, where the admins are always right, even if they’re wrong. I don’t know if it’s based on insecurity, or just plain deceit, but it is certainly funny to see them assert their knowledge (or backing more of Andy’s stupidity) based solely on the fact that they’re an admin. TK, being the troll he is, is understandable. The problem arises with people like Ed – he doesn’t understand most maths, so he deletes what he doesn’t know and drives away those who try to correct him.
I’m guessing the ‘policy’ started off as “an administrator has the final word on an issue”, and has morphed itself into the arrogance of “an administrator is always right, do not dare revert what he has written.”
And yes, it is all about power trips. These are a group of inadequate men, who exert no influence or authority on their physical world and have to reply on Andy’s blog to give their hyper-inflated egos a good workout.
