More fun with Terry Koeckritz

Hello, boys and girls, and welcome to Conservapedia Playtime, where we have more fun with Dick and Jane.  Yes, we’re dealing with the biggest Dick of all today, children and I’m sure we’ll have a gay old time watching this Dick prance around…

Urgh… no… enough of the children imagery. We’re moving into bad touch territory there. But more on Ed Poor another time.

I mentioned in a previous post below that Conservapedia administrator, dear old mincing Terry Koeckritz just hates having his actions questioned in public (and – we are led to believe – there are some actions he really doesn’t want made public). Even if that “public” is a private mailing list, comprised of about six of his peers. Terry prefers to operate in the murky reaches of private e-mails (most of which he bcc’s to Andrew Schlafly anyway) because there he can be his true obnoxious self and any subsequent accusations boil down to a “he said – he said” argument.

The flaw in his system is that at some point his actions take place in public and sometimes his exuberant and deceitful misuse of the oversight facility isn’t quite fast enough to cover up his devious schemes. Remember, Terry gets really Harpic and throws the best hissy fits when his many, many dubious blocks are questioned. So, I thought that today, we’d have a little look at one of Terry’s latest blocks.

In this case, the victim was one “RepublicanGentleman.” Now, there alone, he should have fallen foul of CP’s “use your real first name and initial” rule – you know the one Karajou, TK, Conservative and FOIA all adhere to. However, since this rule is applied almost at random, and he has “Republican” in his user name, I guess he’s a-ok.

Now, I’m going to list the sequence of events, according to their time stamp. Just so that we’re really clear on what went down.

  • 14:39, 5 September 2010: RepublicanGentleman makes an edit to CP’s article on the Big Bang. Ok, maybe not the smartest move, given the general YEC anti-science feelings on CP, but it was just a small edit, correcting the spelling of Stephen Hawking’s name.

  • 17:20, 5 September 2010: Terry reverts RepublicanGentleman’s edit, with no reason given.

  • 17:22, 5 September 2010: Terry realises he might have made a mistake, and restores RepublicanGentleman’s correct edit.

  • 17:23, 5 September 2010: In an unprecedented move, Terry actually apologises for his actions, saying “Sorry, was corrected properly, but I wanted to add the wiki link.”

Now, up until this point, everything seems to be a-ok. Terry just made a mistake and then corrected it.

So how do you explain this next step?

  • 17:25, 5 September 2010 TK (Talk | contribs) blocked RepublicanGentleman (Talk | contribs) with an expiry time of 5 years (account creation disabled, e-mail blocked) ‎ (Bye.)

No reason given, other than Terry just made a prat of himself and thus has to find some way to heal the butt-hurt he so clearly enjoys feels. Also notice that, very cleverly, the editor can’t even use his on-site e-mail to query his block.

There can be no logical reason for his actions, besides the fact that this was a deliberate block in his ongoing mission to turn Conservapedia into a wasteland… well, it’s already an intellectual wasteland, but you get my drift.

Now, we know that sysops aren’t allowed to undo another’s block – especially if it’s one of Terry’s. He really can go the full drama queen when called out, and the other sysops are all too craven to question him anyway. So it’s a good thing I’m here, to ask the important questions, like “What the hell are you up to, Koeckritz?” Of course, he won’t respond, he’s far too secure hiding in his metaphorical closet of Conservapedia, where he can debate with the aid of oversight and the ban-hammer.

What a thoroughly repulsive creature he is.

About PsyGremlin

PsyGremlin is a former Conservapedia sysop (although the position was earned nefariously), stand up comedian, DJ, and is currently a self-employed financial adviser, who impersonates a responsible adult at least 5 days a week. However, highlighting and poking fun at the crazies out there remains his first love. Well besides pork crackling. And custard. And cricket.

I’m surprised he didn’t even bother to use the “member of vandal site” excuse or something.

TK is on a power trip. He contributes nothing to CP, and is unable to write articles, other than copy/paste of plagarised materials. His function is to block, revert, threaten, bully, delete, and oversight all evidence away. He craves power and standing, which is why he named himself “senior admin” on both CP and HotOrNot (his previous playground, now destroyed) despite the fact that he was certainly not senior. He cares nothing for CP, he just wants to exercise power and control over people. (maybe this is why he craves the opposite in his “intimate” dealings?) The man is malicious and detrimental to the site. Also a proven liar. Kudos once again to Psy for the accurate analysis.
